Resumen

El objetivo de este artículo consiste en elaborar un análisis en la filosofía de Levinas y Heidegger para definir su concepto de tierra. Esta comparación nos ayudará a distinguir las formas de comprender cuál es la naturaleza ontológica de la tierra y su relación con los seres humanos. Por un lado, el concepto de tierra heideggeriano puede ser definido como un regreso al misterio y apertura del ser. Por otro lado, para Levinas el sentido de la tierra está relacionado con el hambre y la posibilidad de alimentar a otros con ella. Estos dos sentidos de la tierra mostrarán la postura crítica de Levinas con respecto a la filosofía de Heidegger. Del mismo modo, a través de esta contraposición podremos mostrar la incidencia ética con respecto al encuentro humano con una tierra como patria, tierra que nos vio nacer, y la incidencia de la extranjeridad del otro, quien como extranjero pide ser alimentado con esta tierra que nos pertenece.

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to elaborate an analysis in the philosophy of Levinas and Heidegger to define their concept of «earth». This comparison will help us to distinguish the ways of understanding what is the ontological nature of the earth and its relation to human beings. On the one hand, Heidegger’s concept of earth can be defined as a return to the mystery and openness of being. On the other hand, for Levinas, the meaning of earth is related to hunger and the possibility of feeding others with it. Those two meanings of earth will show Levinas’ critical stance on Heidegger’s philosophy. In the same way, through this contraposition we will be able to show the ethical incidence with respect to the human encounter with an earth as homeland, the land where we were born, and the incidence of foreignness – of the other – who as a foreigner asks to be nourished with this earth that belongs to us.
